The BHATS event on Saturday 20th February was a great success

The blimp!  Sarah Ormrod, front, with helpers Eddie Moore, Natalie Hobbins, Aly Wicks and Martyn Wren.  Also in fighting spirit was Graham Hurrell in chain mail & helmet.

  • Over £1,300 was raised from donations and the stalls
  • More local people became aware of the issues surrounding the proposed wind farm
  • The blimp was flown outside Billingborough village hall.  The proposed turbines would be about 3 times as high as the blimp was actually flown on Saturday.
  • Local press photographers were in attendance.  Photos will be posted on this site soon.
None of this would have been possible without a great deal of effort and support from local people so a big 'thank you' to:

All those involved in organising the day's event including printing and distributing leaflets, those who kindly donated money or items for sale and raffle, those who collected the items and were in charge of the stalls and kitchen, those who baked!, AGAST for lending us their blimp, the wind farm information table with its models and panoramas, and of course everyone who actually turned up on the day to show their support.

The success of this event will help BHATS move forward in its efforts to protect our villages and prevent E.On building a wind farm on our doorstep.
